HAPPY MADNESS DAY!

Posted by TheReviewTrickster - September 21st, 2018

Yay, it's Madness Day...right? No, it shouldn't be until tomorrow, but people are already uploading things. I guess they're in far East time zones or they just wanna upload early. Either way, I've already been celebrating by reviewing and voting on stuff. That's why I love these events, they bring increased uploads that are usually of some quality and related to something I like.

Also, this new update is really cool, huh? I get experience for voting on art! And I can edit my vote once I've considered the submission carefully for the review. Not to mention, the Tankman icons look sick and I get that satisfying 2 EXP every time. There is a slight downside in having to vote every time I review, because then if I've already got all my experience for the day and am reviewing, say, a classic, then in order to review, I don't get a blam/protect and I have to use a back-up vote that could be saved for a rainy day. Some of you probably don't save back-ups, but I sure do. Crazy about that shift in the classics though, huh? I don't think we have enough people to bring back the balance anymore, though, so I'm gonna be going through some movies I might not have seen otherwise. @CyberDevil, I wanna hear your opinion on the update.

If you read all this, thanks, and HAPPY MADNESS DAY!!!

Hey, happy Madness Day!

@passworld @Thereviewtrickster thanks

Happy Belated Madness Day man! Yeah the new changes... I guess you heard my first impressions there. :) Going to have to let it sink in a bit; see what I think in a while... definitely a crazy shift, and agree about the balance! Interesting times ahead.

I don't think you'll have to worry about saving in on back-up votes though! Across all Portals there's at the very least a hundred submissions every day now (maybe two... three?). And more than a lifetime of backup-vote submissions already. ;)

Think I'll probably still stick to the Portal for the added benefit of B/P, but being able to treat all content the same is really cool. Easy to just vote and not leave a review, too. And change your score if you really dive into the submission later on and get new impressions. And the review. Only thing I really don't like is the ability to delete your reviews, as I don't like it in regard to comments either. Prone for abuse if someone gets access to your account. I'd rather have it like the limited-time edit on the BBS, or if the edits are indefinite: a possibility to either see previous revisions, or revert to the very first one (backup). More impressions may follow as all this sinks in...
