A thrilling conclusion that leaves space for more.
I enjoy the way you thoroughly develop each part of the plot here. First you introduce the flying monsters, whose design is pretty uncanny. The animation on them is a little wonky at times, but in other moments it really sells their creepiness. The way the bridge collapses is interesting, showing that the monsters don't need to be unkillable to cause major casualties, and we see this again with the fliers crashing into the choppers. It seems like you really know how to make each creature fit perfectly into its own niche of death-sowing and how to emphasize the designs with movement. The mouthless big guys are also cool, though they don't get much use here. The invisible monster, though, is by far the coolest. The way it sweeps through people before they can even react is terrifying. The moment the guy's arm just falls off while he's standing perfectly encapsulates the way you keep the tension going throughout. You put the characters through a ring of fire, and when they escape just in the nick of time, they're greeted by another danger. All this punctuated by epic background music, it's really exciting.

The visuals of running up the staircase are one of my favorite parts of this. Makes me think of a "stairway to heaven". The kills in this one were really cool again. I especially enjoyed getting to see Boomer fighting melee style and everyone doing what they could to get the Evils off their choppers. The grunt soldiers really put up a fight. The general using that revolver cowboy-style was a cool little moment as well.

The music selection was great in this one, but the sound mixing seemed a bit off, with some lines being hard to hear. This becomes more of an issue when there's no more subtitles like in previous parts.

Overall, a great wrap-up to the episode. Rides the tension out to the end and sets up some more stories, which we see play out in Repercussions.

And here's the payoff of the first two parts.

The last bit of tension-building is executed marvelously, with Romanov's dramatic reading and escape intercut with Etrius and the general's confrontation. I also particularly enjoyed Beecher and the captain's eyes meeting. When the action does happen, it's stellar. There are some awkward shots, of course, but that hardly matters when you get such an awesome variety of kills ranging from knife to sniper. One thing I appreciate is that the helmet soldiers are actually pretty competent and, even though they're out of their depth, get some kills of their own. Usually they'd be canon fodder and the main characters would be stupidly OP. It's all spiced up by a number of different stylized shots, slo-mo instances that don't feel out of place this time, and awesome monsters. Seriously, that invisible thing haunted my dreams as a kid when I first saw this.

As for the story, it's a good development. Etrius gets the power. But is it really Etrius anymore? And, since he was bitten by one of the Evils, does that mean the voice in his head was demonic in nature? If so, the Evils really have won by getting to the power through Etrius. I hope more is revealed in Repercussions and, if it ever comes out, episode 4. The general's twist motivations are pretty much a cliche, but they make sense nonetheless and a cliche is acceptable in this kind of work.
Overall, this one was really great. Onto the final part of this episode!

The animation is nice, but nothing really happens. It could just as well be a GIF in the Art Portal, there's nothing really cinematic to it so I don't think it fits the Movie Portal.

I love you, Newgrounds! Merry Tankmas everyone, and thanks for bringing us the joy of hanging out together with wonderful music and art another year! 4.5 stars only because the stuff with what I'm assuming are other users of some kind is kinda weird and I don't really get it.
@Geokureli I hope you get better ASAP, good as new!
Here's to another year of creation and enjoyment, chilling and hustling, pushing limits and moving heartstrings! Another year of Newgrounds.

Yes, playing this again, it doesn't quite hold up. figuring out what to do is really hard and tedious because you give no logical clues, only very blunt or very vague hints in the objectives and mission names and we're required to assume things from there. basically nothing is explained in the mission descriptions and the objectives are sorta hidden away, but, again, none of it is very logical and a lot of missions just have you waiting for a long time. The concept was actually fun, so it's a shame, but this really isn't one of your best games. Also, yeah, the guns definitely aren't an incentive, as the automatics and semiautomatics would just lower your mission rank. The graphics are okay and I like the music. The title card thing that plays every time you retry a mission is insanely annoying, though.

A true sequel. Has the spirit of the original, but strives to take it to new heights. I like the feeling of the cabin, I imagine it's gonna be great when it's filled up! I like how last year's decorations have melted away in the outside area, but that just means they'll have to be restored, better than ever before! Also giant head in the background, that's a top-notch Christmas detail. Love it. I can't seem to get the second present, though, is it not in yet? Also, the rug in the cabin superposes itself over the character when you go on its far side. I hope I can get all the medals this year!

So far, I like this! You guys are funny together, humor a lot very humor. I feel like it's very similar to ACOCk which I really like, that was always fun to listen to. It's got the fanciness of Grounds Patrol and Will, of course, is very good at commercial stuff. Sorry if that sounds weird, but it's true. He has a lot of charm and old-school charisma, I feel. Almost an old-timey radio broadcaster. Looking forward to hearing more from Snacker and Henry. The quiz segment is also a very good idea. Oh man, NG Trivia and creators. Heck, yeah. Props to whoever made the music, it's bomb. I think some of it is from GP?
Looking forward to the future of this show, seems like you guys really are taking all the best aspects of both shows and adding onto them. Covering old and new stuff.

Wow, this looks so nice. That purple leaf sticks out marvellously, and the way the leaves are mostly directed up with a couple outliers is interesting. It feels a bit disorienting, almost like stuff is flipped... but I might just be sleepy. It's like a screen from a point and click game. One which I think would be damn gorgeous. Keep it up!

Thank you! I was tried to defy my senses with this one.

Whoa! This is fantastic! The colours are really nice. They're vibrant, but the purple has a grounding effect and it looks really nice. The colour of the sky fading from light to dark is really pretty. I also like the design of the creature/character, blowing smoke out of its nosehole, giving off a vibe of hugeness and wearing that weird hat and beads, just kinda chill. The pipe covered in fungi is an interesting detail, too. I kinda wish he had something more to show that he's a scribe, though. Regardless, keep it up, man!

MrCreeep responds:

thank you thank y ou!!!

Looks very nice in terms of style and I like the idea, though the hand slapping down could be more fluid, cause as it is it kinda takes away from the momentum.
Happy belated Clock Day!

The Ninja Society of Newgrounds shall rise again! I love NG and I try to help the community.
