Music is a bit annoying and the gameplay is super simple. Art is pretty much nothing and there is no detail. The concept of a piece of skin isn't explored. The death takes too long and is boring, also during the death animation, all the onscreen blocks freeze but once you explode new ones just come in.

TypeB responds:

I noticed. Thanks for your feedback. I'm gonna fix the shit out of it, in fact I am as we speak. Adding powerups, etc. Also you're a piece of skin. What do you want a piece of skin to do?

The music is nice, but the gameplay is pretty much nonexistent, and like you mentioned in the description you have to refresh every time you die. The art is okay for the square you play as, but everything else is boring. Not to mention the glitchy textures and lag every time you jump.

TheUglyDollKing responds:

It was not really made to be that much of an exciting game, and I am not that good at coding-related things, so I actually wasn't expecting much. (Why I put the word "cringey" in the title) Triple spikes are a strange meme thing in the GD community so that was the point. Not too sure how to fix the lag. Made in scratch so that might be the problem

The art is surprisingly okay and the game does try to be creative with the mechanics. One thing that annoys me greatly, however, are the controls. I'm righthanded, so it gets kind of confusing having to use the mouse precisely while simultaneously using the arrow keys. Perhaps include an additional option to use a WASD control scheme. Also I found a glitch where I threw a shield at my guy and he just froze, with no way to move him because whenever I picked up his shield, he still had it and I got a duplicate. The hero's A.I. is also super annoying.

nax89 responds:

Really thanks for the feedback! I hate the same for my game, the controls are not as accurate as I would have liked. The limit of 50 Events kill a lot of that details for me.
The frozen bug when you restart and give the hero and item was sadly discovered after publish the game, I fixed it now on my local version.
Thanks again for your fb!

Awesome graphics and atmospheric yet exciting music. The game is very well made even though it lacks depth of gameplay a bit. The controls are good and aren't slippery or delayed. At first I thought it was going to play like a .exe game. I was happy to be proven wrong. The only major flaw is the lack of checkpoints, especially because going through the beginning where there's no danger or challenge gets annoying quickly. This, combined with the fact that you have to beat a boss who kills you in 2 hits and whose pattern you don't yet know, and who you can't even see if you're on the highest platform makes for a bit of a frustrating experience.

Yipcks responds:

Thank you for the feedback!

I imagined that not having checkpoints would've been really annoying, expecially because of that long beginning, unfortunately I ran out of events, so I had to cut out the checkpoints.

I'm really sorry I couldn't find a way to put a checkpoint in there.

Has potential. The graphics are good, and the different death animations are very satisfying. I think that the shotgun should have at least 2 shells when fully loaded. Also either allow for more weapons or tell the player that they can't have more than one firearm. Also, I get that it's all in a small space but the plazer speed NEEDS to be faster. I get it's supposed to increase tension and make the zombies more dangerous, but it's near impossible to get where you want to go in the 10 seconds between waves. Also, why make the C key the one that switches weapons when J is right there and also the most intuitive one. It's also annoying that you can't upgrade your stamina. I am aware this issue is most likely fixed in the full version but still. Like I said, this game actually had some effort put into it, which is nice to see. Hope my feedback was somewhat useful.

Thank you for the feedback!

I'm studying your comments, I'll add a instruction screen before the game starts telling 'Just 2 weapons at a time (1 melee / 1 ranged) and take a look to the key changes (C -> J seems logical for me too).

Speed, stamina, clips size and other 'issues' are things that can be upgraded in the full version (link is in the description). This game is being developed with Game Maker, unfortunately the HTML5 export is quite chaotic (at least for me) and I had to cut content for this browser version in order to have something playable (not to laggish or slow).

Again thanks for the feedback!

The mechanics sound intersting, but... why aren't they explained? I cant figure out whats going on. I get the character is supposed to be a magnet but....I just dont understand. sometimes my jump is higher when I jump sorta sideways, I guess. Also he seems to react to the ceiling but he doesnt stick to it. The magnet gun is also poorly explained. I dont get how Im supposed to use it. They dont seem to let me move around very precisely. Please explain things better because this game has some potential.

funnymonkeyone responds:

That's my bad. I was hoping the levels would visually teach you how to play the game but I will be much more descriptive now you mention it so thank you for pointing that out. Cheers ;)

Not stellar graphics and boring gameplay. Enemies can take way too long to defeat. My suggestion is to explain things better. Nothing in this game is explained enough. Also I dont know if you can remove already added troops from your roster.

Chekisteg responds:

Thank you for review, we'll do our best to make game more interesting.

Very clunky and slow. It's a difficult task just jumping over the basic spikes and the momentum mechanic where the character speeds up is not very well thought out and gets very annoying very fast because you don't have a lot of space to speed up and even maximum speed is still very slow. I also had no idea I could double jump so I couldn't get anywhere. The amount of HP you have is also very unusual for a hop and bop platformer. The hit boxes on the enemies are also weird and you can't jump on their heads without taking damage. Also, you should add a possibility to skip the beginning cutscene or at least don't force the player to watch it everytime they die. On the plus side, the graphics are okay and there's music. I think if it was polished a bit more and the mechanics and gameplay was cleaned up, it could be a decent game.

cheesydevYT responds:

I appreciate your time and feedback. <3 Also, I just added a skip button just for you. (;
