Pretty interesting idea and ending. The animation and music are pretty nice. It felt short and didn't really have much substance. I do like how confused the narrator is at the end. I also like the constant blinking, very weird. Just like I said, there wasn't anything too interesting aside from the ending. The beginning looked pretty promising as well.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the animation, as it's the only thing I spent time on.

A bit short for me to judge the plot. The art and animation are simple, but effective. The sound is pretty good and the slower pace combined with the lack of colors sets the mood well. The concept isn't the most original, but maybe the later episodes will give us some more plot to make it interesting.

Thank you for taking the time to comment! I greatly appreciate it, that's seriously helpful feedback. :)

The animation is nice, and the style looks sorta 80's or 70's. The first joke was pretty good but then you brought out the rockstar and that part was good as well. I think it could have been longer, and the rock star part could have been more fleshed out, but it was made for a jam and it is your first finished animation. The voice of the dad is fitting, but he kind of mutters his last line, and the kid's voice is a bit annoying. Overall, a pleasant little entry to the jam.

Very well animated, a bit short but nice. The choice of music was very fitting, and the art style was as well. There were some nice transitions and ideas. The main character was very expressive and I like how he actually started crying in the hospital. I hope to see more from you.

The lighting and filters fit extremely well. The acting was great, the movements had that exaggerated and sometimes sort of robotic feel. I loved the editing as well, the story, everything. Even the comedy was nice with the falafel, but it didn't overdo it. The first act was great, and I really like the way NOX says Mark. The music during Mark's reply was fantastic and perfectly fitting. The reply itself was also great and I loved watching NOX's breakdown. The end was great commentary and this made it clear what kind of character NOX is going to be. Absolutely fantastic on all fronts, my only gripe is that it was sometimes hard to tell exactly what Mark was saying because of the rising music, NOX's yelling and other noises, as well as the voice filter. I also love the glasses, they look amazing. I liked the mix of live-action and animation. Ayt first I was skeptical about you doing live-action, but this really knocked it out of the park and around the planet. I hope we get to see more of this.

Great comedic animation. You picked a pretty good clip to animate. Like I said, the animation doesn't overdo it while still being exaggerated and appropriate to the current situation in a comedic way. Also liked that meemee on the wall.

Some awesome animation and a fun idea. Why pokémon though!? Regardless, the music fits really well, there's some cool imagery and symbolism that would fit into an anime OP really well. It feels like the part when Shrek screams at the end of the pikachu battle should be at the end, and the part with Fred could have gone before the battle, because that's when Shrek was at his lowest. Then again, the transformation transition wouldn't make sense that way. Maybe you could have had Fred make Shrek embrace his anger and make him look more manipulative while making the aforementioned layout more logical. Also, when Shrek first tries to hit pikachu, we just see pikachu punching Shrek instead. He didn't even block the punch or react to it in any way, seems like the way the camera was moving and his face are suggesting that he was indeed hit. It would have worked if we'd seen Shrek thinking he's already won for a bit longer before pikachu bounces back and punches him. It also kinda doesn't make sense since the kick clearly did knock pikachu down, or at least knock him away. His kick can't be that much more powerful than his punch. Overall, there are some flaws but it is a very enjoyable (and epic) parody.

I like how the main character is kind of a bystander and is just kinda cool with everything. The way nothing connects together feels just like a real dream and I like some of the jokes like the guy doing the flirty eyebrows at the end and the waiter sliding away. The unconnected smash cuts are pretty nice, it's interesting because we often (at least when remembering them) experience dreams from a 3rd person point of view or through camera angles. The art and animation are good and the artstyle is fitting. The background music is also pretty cool. A pretty good jam entry.

FlumpyTripod responds:

Thank you very much. I was concerned it might be too disconnected and weird for viewers, but it sounds like its working out.

An interesting idea handled in a short amount of time, with a relaxed atmosphere. The music was nice and the artstyle fitting. In the end it all came down to a joke, but it was a nice joke that fit the style of the movie. Pretty nice entry overall.

A pretty cool style and okay animation. I loved that montage where the boss just went insane on the smoke detector. The voice noises are pretty nice, I guess. 50 Shades of geisha though. Should be called 50 shades of greysha! It was a funny joke is what I'm trying to say. Honestly, I found the boss' part with the smoke detector more interesting than the actual revenge, although I like that dramatic tone with the words "pink eye"
