The music gets quite repetitive but otherwise, the game is pretty good. The art is good (obviously, it's hyptosis), but I just didn't find the game that interesting. The events have little emotional leverage, as we don't know the characters. Overall, an OK game I couldn't really get into. I know constructive criticism is pointless since this is an old game and there are countless sequels that probably fix some things, but if you ever read this, my advice is spend more time with the characters and make the game longer and have the music be more fitting.

I like the series. It's awesome! However, this game is just....unsatisfying. The plot moves away from what made the series charming in the first place. No more creepy yet jolly 1930's-esque music, it's set in a city, taking the whimsical element out of it. The other games had a feeling of wonder. That's what makes Alice in Wonderland so good for a dark reimagining. It's all about the whimsical, outlandish brand of madness that makes it possible to see how this could be a twisted, dark world if it was only a bit different. Mary Ann gets introduced... only to have no other purpose than to give you the gun at the end. In the second game, it's sorta indicated that the Queen runs a sort of dictatorship. Here, the Queen leads an assassin ring, again taking the whimsy out of it. It also makes no logical sense 'cause if the queen really does control the police, Mary Ann wouldn't need to escape from the jail like the journal says. The reason the Rabbit and the Hatter are captured because the Queen wants to get rid of them. The lag is also super annoying. The art in the ending also seemed a bit subpar and the ending twist seems very rushed and I had to check the wiki to find out what happened. There were also no clues that:

SPOILER ALERT

Alice could possibly be alive. The Cheshire Cat also kinda goes nowhere. I like her backstory but... it just seems pointless. Overall, very unsatisfying. I hope that, if it ever comes out, the 4th one will wrap things up better. Still can't give this less than 3 stars, though.

Like you said, it's boring. It's got no cool mechanics is good, but it's nothing special. There's also no music. Maybe for your next game put some more time and effort into it.

thanks for the feedback, i recently got into game developing, will do

A pretty difficult rts. The artstyle is good, and the gameplay is good too. It has a nice sense of humour as well. I've only beaten three levels so far and hard mode is too hard for me, but I can tell that it's a good game.

P.S. The music is pretty good too.

First review. <3

It's a cool game with an interesting concept, nice graphics and good controls and gameplay. The music was also good. Of course, it was made for the Ludum Dare, so it's small. If you make a bigger game someday, I think it would be great. Keep up and please do try to make a bigger game, 'cause you obviously have heaps of talent.

Pretty great, the art is awesome and the gameplay is challenging, but in a good way. It's very well written. I don't feel like using my mind-brain too much right now, so I'll have to finish this later. The music was also good.

There's no real difficulty, however the animation, though incredibly simplistic, is kinda nice. I suggest you try to work on your animation and art skills. Don't be discouraged, many great NG-ers started with very simple and not very good games and movies. Keep it up, dude.

The Ninja Society of Newgrounds shall rise again! I love NG and I try to help the community.
