Haha, I knew he was trying to cheer her up! I really liked the way this one continued where the last one left off. The story was done well in regards to fitting into tropes.
The reason I say this is because your style of comedy doesn't require a ground-breaking story or too much character development, so storytelling tropes provide a great set-up for whatever madness is about to occur. It helps give that comfortable feeling to the story that allows you tp sit back, relax, and have fun, instead of burdening you with a complex story of some sort. Don't get me wrong, more complex stories in comedy can be great, I just think this works with your specific style. Of course, this doesn't make the actual comedy feel overdone. The cheerful atmosphere allows you to just go all-out with silly scenarios.
Anyways, back to this specific episode- I really liked Trish's story, it was so sad. SunGod absolutely annihilating everything in his path while being the most chill and upbeat dude ever was also funny to me. I loved the epic battle with the classical music. The animation for SunGod (and the whole episode) was really great. It's so like Chutney and Red Skeleton to go off collecting coconuts while their friend is a monster. But I still think they would have looked for her. *sniffles* Their bond isn't that shallow, is it? Also, how is the series gonna go on now that half the planet has been incinerated? Post-apocalyptic Chutney Glaze, maybe? Those Patron credits are just getting more and more crowded, and they seem to change up as new members come in, so they provide an additional bit of entertainment to the main story. The only thing other than Chutney and Red Skeleton leaving her like that (which I guess could be explained with them giving up and choosing to relax for a while before they go looking again) was the simplicity of the moon shattering.
Awesome job, dude, keep it up!
