Fuckin hell, this is awesome! I love the Auditor boss and the fact he's actually doing a ground smash attack like in a real game. The character info in the corners is really run as well, poor Sanford lol.
Basically another great game emulation, looking even better than usual, really not like you just put the sprites in place, it feels so accurate. Keep it up and happy Madness Day!

ScepterDPinoy responds:

Happy Madness Day to you too!

Happy madness day! I like this, it seems to fit 2bdamned. It's also plain funny, and the "can I X you a question line" is perfectly madness.

ChazDude responds:

Thanks, TRT!

Interesting style. Definitely trying something new. Very cool perspective and composition. I don't really like the green reality rift around Pedro, it's too much and comes off a bit cheap in my eyes. If the color matched the rest of the picture better, I'd like that. There's just no other thing in the piece that's that color, and it's not really his color either. One thing that bugs me a little bit is that the walls meet in a point, but the player's head is above that point. At first it was also bothering me that he's not completely flat and is instead lifting his upper body up, but I think I like it better. I like the detail on the windows, they're really cool. Really awesome lighting too, though I'm not really an expert on that. His left arm looks a bit broken and I think the color of the broken shards of window glass should have some green reflected on them too for diversity. Those slain dudes in the background are pretty cool too, cool-looking execution.
Keep it up, dude, this is way rad! One of the most interesting entries I've seen entries I've seen so far.

Thanks for the in depth review! I was a bit worried on the green on Pedro (I wanted to kind of stick with a limited color palette and thought I could use some more green from the buildings), but I agree I probably should have gone with something else (maybe just a lighter yellow?) or ditch the rift around Pedro entirely.

On the glass I think your right as well. They were originally all green, then I switched them to all yellow to associate them with Pedro and the bullets, but I think adding some small green reflections would have made them seem less flat without taking from that.

First off, welcome to NG! Now, on tot he actual piece. I like that you've got a sort of camera focus thing going, now maybe if the glass was slightly more blurry (or at least the shards closer to the edge of the picture) and the player slightly more sharp it would be better. This way it looks a bit half-done. Nice composition, though! As for the colors, they're less radical than the ones most others have been using, kinda mellow. I feel like, if it were night time or something and the blue came from a neon light instead of the sky (which is also not how the sky works) that would have more of a My Friend Pedro feel, because this seems too peaceful. They are still pretty cool, though, just in a different way, and I like the way they're shown on his body.
This is a flawed piece, sure, but you still tried to give it something original in the camera focus thing and it's certainly appreciated. Keep it up, I'd love to see more from you!

Linkapon-Hero responds:

Wow... now that you noticed this, i've spotted my flaws haha.
Thanks for the input, that's some advice I'm keeping.

Thanks, I'll make sure i drop more of my paintings/drawings on NG! :D

Really cool and I like the colors, very nice pose too. At first I thought I would prefer it without the orange glow on the zebra head, but I actually think it looks great. Not too cold.
Now, I'm sorry, and I know I bring this up every time, but the arms seem weird to me. It looks like they're too short, wouldn't yhe elbows on the human body go way below the chest? I also had my usual trip where I think one arm is longer than the other, but it's too complicated for me to accurately measure in my head.
Keep it up, man, you're great at badass stuff, but the limbs. Every time, the limbs. I'm serious right now, I don't know if it's a problem with you or with me. If you could tell me, please do, and I'll adjust the rating.

DeimosArt responds:

you are right, ive adjusted alot of my art lately, you helped me alot

This might just be your best one yet. It's probably because I love Jebus so much. It fits him perfectly, too. The posing is great, I love the red eyes and expression. He's such a badass. Nice assortment of weapons as well. Love the clean-looking signature sword of his. Manages to look sharp and unwavering despite the blood spatter. Don't rven get me started on the outfit detail. As far as I can tell, you added the tear in his pants and the chain? They look good, add a bit of clarity to the murky mess of his tattered, bullethole-ridden clothes. I love the lighting, too, of the oracle and his eyes. The guns in the background are such a great way to show his powers and they're badass. Also heh, look at the cannon from MC1. I just think the legs are a bit uneven, one seems longer than the other, and I think the arms should be longer.
Keep it up, you'll be one of the best madness artists!

DeimosArt responds:

thanks alot man, the left legs supposed to be closer to the camera, guess i fucked that up, im taking notes, thanks dude

Oh, cool, an ASCII game! Well, this is really fluid animation and it seems like a fun time. Nice detail, too, with the shadows and everything. I really liked the way the Nagaraja springs up, it's very satisfying. I feel like the tongue (while it's cool) could be animated in a more limp way it feels kinda solid and not satisfying enough. Keep it up, but maybe think about things like that!

StoneStoryRPG responds:

Interesting point, I'll definitely pass that by the lead dev, thanks for the feedback! This was one of the more fun bosses to animate, as it heavily borrows from Darkstalkers' organic and fluid animation style.

Haha, I love it! The colors are perfect, fun and Newgroundsy at the same time. I love the concept as well, he's so cute!
Happy Pico Day, this was simple but fun!

Akromaly responds:

Thank you so much <3

I love the idea! The style is pretty cool, I really love how you did the phone's light. It looks a bit solid though underneath the phone, which is a weird place for monitor light to be. I actually thought the umbilical cord was the edge of some kind of tablet because it seemed like the light was landing on something solid. Keep it up, I hope to see more from you!

maysa-muh responds:

thank you so much I'll do my best

Haha, I love him! He looks like a classic action hero. Face is perfect. Incorporates his usual facial exoression and... makes him look like Sylvester Stallone? He just really reminds me of Sylvester Stallone.
I've got a couple problems with proportions though. First off, the face looks weird when combined with his body. A bit too big I guess. Maybe it's that the torso is too short, people usually accentuate it more than the legs I think, considering the madness figure. His arms also seem to be different sizes. That might be an illusion, but I'm not so sure. One definitely appears shorter and bulkier. The hook is also pretty big, though I can take that as a stylistic choice.
On the other hand I love the detail. The texture of the pants, the shading on them, wow. I just live these pants. I also love how the blood stands out, just like in madness toons. The detail of where it's located is cool too.
Overall a cool Sanford image, though there are a couple issues that might be subjective. I really can't give this any less than four stars, it's too fucking good. Keep it up!

DeimosArt responds:

thanks alot, i really appreciate it!
