I like the style and character designs, not the usual aesthetic you see in these animations. The material itself was pretty fun, I liked it, and you visualized it well, took me a rewatch to figure out what was happening cause I didn't even realize what game it was at first, but yeah, I like the consistency of the guy holding the detonator behind his back. Some moments of nice animation, too. Keep it up!

The animation wasn't bad, but the action was pretty boring. Megaman is so OP and just blasts through a shitton of basic zombies (speaking of which, their size is inconsistent and it's a pretty lazy-looking way to use their assets, because WHY ARE THEY HUGE!?). He uses different moves, but there are so many times where he just mows them down without them coming even close. *He never gets attacked, except by the boss.* That's not a fight. On top of that, he's never actually hurt. There's no danger. The space is inconsistent, too, why did he go to the street in the lawn area to teleport to a random roof? The zombies just pop out of nowhere and get yeeted off screen immediately, occasionally with quick, hard to follow cuts. Then there's a mini-montage of all things in the desert that ends as abruptly as it started where he just gets random powers and blasts through everything. Even the big boss is basically useless. The problem is he doesn't work for the powers, he doesn't put in effort. That's why it's not compelling watching him fight. Different zombie types are underutilized and often pretty useless, like the Zamboni one at the start and the balloon ones. The football, pogo and digging zombies did something, but even they were a little too easy. There's just no strategy to it, he just gets more and more powerful.
Try taking this into consideration to make your next movies more interesting.

Okay, well, the audio is extremely annoying but I suppose that's not your fault. The rhythm of your visuals was actually pretty good, though and they're pretty funny sometimes. I liked your mouth animation at some points too. However, a nit more detail at the repetitive refrain part would have been appreciated. Like maybe if he didn't only have arms when the holding the pencil or he actually did something or the background changed, anything. Keep it up, keep practicing and maybe consider doing something not ear-grating next time.

stevetherapper responds:

Thanks for your feedback. I rushed it because I was afraid that the erased background would dry so yeah. It’s actually been kind of hell making this. Also what does nit mean? Is that even a word?

Okay, that was pretty funny, especially at the end. Nice visuals, loved the smaller Shaq reading the scroll thingy. I think the hate bandwagon on Shaq is a bit much. At least you showed that he's not really in charge here, he probably has no idea about the animation sphere.

Great animation, great concept and great execution. I love the narration. Very interesting character you have in Spoople. I love how he slowly showed his sociopathic side. I loved the absurd humor, like the fish hostage crisis resolution. A very interesting choice to have Spoople voice every character, makes you wonder how much of it is true, adding another layer. Keep it up and I'd love to see more of Spoople!

FraserMcNiven responds:

Spoople here,

It is all very true. You will see more of me because I know things and I like to share what I know.

Thank you for being kind.

Okay then.

I can see you like swing momentum. Pretty nice compilation, you certainly did different things. Cool choice of music. The animation looks nice, I especially liked the boxing and lightsaber animations, as well as the one with the dude snowballing, that was pretty creative. At times the forward swing attacks seemed repetitive or "off" to me, but I think it was just my weird sense of what's correct. Keep it up and welcome to NG!

That was a phenomenal episode! The animation was really gorgeous at times, and the colors were absolutely beautiful. The beginning looked especially gorgeous. You also blended seriousness and funyness together really well, I made many snorting sounds with my nose, it was that funy! I loved the epic music starting and stopping and the intense escalation of destruction. The second sun eating his space chips got me as well. This also explains so much of the story! I love it! I'm sorry if this review is kinda half-assed, my first impressions were last night before this was uploaded to NG and now they've kinda worn off and then I got distracted looking up how to snap my fingers. I can snap my fingers now!!! Keep it up, Chut!
Edit: great sound design too, I love Skull Lord's voice. Loved the baby patrons too lol.

ChutneyGlaze responds:

You heckin learning to snap is cool as beans 😎
Thanks Trickster

This was my first time watching Courage the Cowardly Dog. You guys certainly gave me a fun experience. I really loved the takes on Muriel doing random wacky things and being obliviously cheerful and Eustace just... being Eustace. But my God, Fred. So much freakiness in all these different styles. Him shaving Courage was actually pretty spooky and really expressive. Courage mostly just looked cartoony, but he got some awesome parts too. The transitions during the intro were kinda jarring, because it was all one shot switching styles. I would shout out people whose animation was really amazing, but that was really most of the participants, and everyone did great, so it'd feel kinda unfair and I don't wanna type all those @'s out.

7/10 no spaghetti
But for real, that's not spaghetti. The idea's been done before, but I still like it. I liked the performance of the giant. The voice acting was a bit too much, though. Ziti was so annoyingly over-the-top it was basically toddler level. I liked his "I love you guys" part though, that worked. The general's expression when he saw the rest of the pasta was great too. Keep it up, I like stuff like this, but maybe ease up on the silliness of the voices.

CacklingPumpkins responds:

Thank you for the feedback! And I'll keep what you said about the voices in mind and try to experiment a bit.

I love the lyrics, some funny fuckin rhymes. Nice visualisations too. Loved the later part, really ramped up the highness. Twist was kinda predictable, but I liked it. It was the right ending for this. I think the vocals could have been louder, they were a bit hard to make out at the start. Keep it up!

HarveySeasalt responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it. I’ll make sure to listen for low audio levels.
