Damn, man! That was touching. The music went perfectly with it and I loved all the different styles and ideas you guys had. They were all really cool. I liked the derpy faces of the 3D bit and the fact that it showed Shrek being shunned by the world. Then the pixel stuff was nice too, Shrek was so lost. Then the part with befriending donkey-a perfect emotional and memey climax, with them hugging each other. And let's not forget that finger.
Overall some emotional stuff and memey goodness, all in one cool-looking package.
Keep IMDBing, y'all!

Dude that finger really got me too. It's perfect. Thanks for the well-written (as always) review!

That was great! It might be the first of your animations that I could enjoy completely.
The style really worked with this one and the humor was your usual absurd stuff, but here, I can't fully explain it, it just sorta clicked. Everything really fell into place. I gues sit's because this one really had an interesting story. A colonized Mars that's reminiscent of the wild west and yet a collage of different cultures and has advanced technology. Certainly very interesting. The story itself was really nice, even though it was a simple and pretty overdone concept. I've just never seen it done like this before, in such an ironic and yet compelling fashion. The old-school cheesiness combined with your surreal humor is really unique. That showdown at the end was really exciting and had some nice music.
The humor was nice as well. It didn't take away from the plot, and it had some strong running gags going. Things like everyone having guns and Winston being called a bastard. Ruthless Toothless was funny to me as well. That vodka was great. It's cool when you can kinda understand what they're saying too.
The only flaw in this entire movie was that the beginning narration was too quiet compared tk the music. I don't wanna take any stars off for that though. I would really love to see more like this! The best work I've seen from you so far.

This episode is up there with episodes 4 and 10 for me. The score is absolutely beautiful and emotional. I really like what this one had to offer both in terms of plot development and meaning. The twist was great, and Mischief's face opening up is a pretty haunting sight. I really want to see what happens when Henryk comes home. The whole family tree's kinda confusing, but I guess it can advance a lot in just 100 years. Great granddaughter, huh? The imagery was great as well, with Henryk standing on the building and Mischief being able to slither around it. Might be symbolic of Mischief's ability to choose to be happy.
Speaking of symbolism, I loved it in this. I feel like it ties into my theories of radical freedom. Mischief chooses to be happy, while Henryk is indeed acting in bad faith, unable to move on from the loss of his family, which provided him with meaning. Some people are complaining about Henryk's silly face, and it is pretty silly, but I feel like it also makes Henryk seem vulnerable, which is something I liked about this episode. It showed that Henryk is falling apart (not literally).
So yeah, this was a doozy! In a good way, of course. The plot progressed a lot, music was off the charts, some great imagery and some interesting bits of meaning.

I liked the style but the voices were really hard to understand and the random humor was really easy to predict. Maybe it would have been funnier if I could actually understand what they were saying. Try working on the voices and adding to the humor beyond a predictable repetition joke.

I know what you mean, but these two guys realy exist, and they talk like that :O Its more like a parody of them. You have to listen to them realy carefuly, and you dont want to talk with them longer than you have to:D Haha

I don't get the reference, but the style was nice and I liked the joke itself. The ending was funny to me because it was a nice joke and because it was just so silly that the Decepticons were doing this instead of fighting the Autobots. I didn't even know they could have optical sensor prescriptions. I liked Starscream's voice throughout.
The joke before that would have been nice too if they weren't both wrong. The Pythagoras theorem says that the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the two legs of a right triangle. This would have had it be square roots. It would have been funny if there were a third guy who corrected them both or if Starscream only messed up the type of triangle and the other guy corrected him with the hypotenuse of a right triangle. That would accentuate Starscream's stupidity better. My first suggestion would have been a better joke overall.
Overall you have a nice style and this was pretty funny, but you should be careful with math jokes in the future.

That was a very interesting style! Fun and festive too. I liked how Santa was kinda toying with his reindeer. Then again he was giving them a peaceful way to solve their feud. The sounds were pretty nice, and I really liked that ending. I'm not sure how to describe the atmosphere in this. I suppose fun but original. Maybe some parts of the Tug O' War could have been a bit more animated.
Overall a fun little festive short with an interesting style. Keep it up!

Shufflehound responds:

Thanks! I had about a fortnight to rush it; I would've definitely added more drawings otherwise.
The primary inspiration for the atmosphere would be Bob Godfrey's cartoons like Roobarb from the 70's. Very lo-fi but fun!

Some nice animation and I like the facial expressions of the main character. The story was just bizarrely random. I liked her phobia and the ridiculous backstory, though. I feel like the ending could have been a bit better with some signs of the other pokemon trainer experiencing a similar flashback. Didn't get the reference for the phone call, but I'm guessing it makes sense. The dad's voice was perfect as well.
Overall a fun little short with a nice concept. Not hilarious, but fuh.

AncoPro responds:

Yeaa I suppose that's the risk of making too many in-jokes. Thanks!

Well, a downgrade in animation from the last one, but much funnier and more humor-oriented. I really liked the silly stuff, like Jill eating the drug plant and pulling out the gatling from her body pillow's crotch. Good job subverting the expectations when it comes to the pervy tentacle rape. I love how she could literally predict that Nemesis was gonna go for that route and put in safeguards like the mousetrap and the grenades. I really like that added dimension of her being high and scared but also agile and clever. There was some nice animation in bits, like her facial expression when the fridge is hurled at her, or some of the stuff when she's barrage-attacking Nemesis. His height seems a bit inconsistent though. And that talking tentacle's voice acting was kinda hard to understand and its lines seemed weird. I'm guessing you were the voice behind that one. The other music and sound effects were very nice, and some sounded very old-video-gamey and contributed to the humor. Good job, the animation for this one was somewhat lower quality than the last one, but the humor and length more than made up for it.

That was some great animation! I really liked the Ode to Joy you put in there. Lots of epic explosions, interesting how she managed to explode everything. That ending was nice as well, a bit of reality to make up for all the unrealistic rocket launching. That scene where she fought Nemesis was weirdly edited though. Lots of unconnected cuts. As for the cool action bits, I really loved the energy in them, with lots of weight ot everything, especially Nemesis getting shot and her getting eaten. This was way cooler than I was expecting, good job!

The abimation was great and I like the concept. It feels kinda nineties, I guess. Aesthetic is really cool like that, and i oove the colors in the background. The character designs are really interesting and badass, like kind of a post-cyberpunk thing, where hipsters are now ruling or something. I guess Dark Knight Returns had a similar thing with the mutants. There was some cool action, too, and the character designs and the way they acted showed us what they're like. That hair gore was cool and i really loved that part when robot girl blew the guy's head off with his friend's gun. That was just really cool and quite original. There are a couple little things that could have been a slight bit different. When the knife guy was falling you flipped things around so his head was on the wrong side. Then when he fell into tbe water it was a bit confusing because I thought he had bren shot into the water and, for a bit I even thought it wasn't a guy and that it was a flying robot because of the robot remains floating up. If the shot was a wider one, like the one of him falling before, or something like that, it would have been clearer what happened.
Overall very well animated and has some nice action, not much story, but you've got me hooked so far. The music was relaly nice, too.
