The animation and art aren't that good, but it seems like an interestign concept, though I did have to read the description to understand fully what the concept was. Maybe you could have showcased something a bit more interesting. There wasn't really anything funny in the trailer ,so maybe ab it more ocmedy would have been nice. The music did seem pretty fitting though.

SlightlyAnimated responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I'm in the process of teaching myself, so the art and animation still has a ways to go. Hopefully once I get a full episode ready instead of just the intro it will start to come together and make more sense.

A very cool concept and subversion of expectations. I like the part about the actual show, and I like the little guy who comes up to ask a tiny favor from the viewer, but I feel like he just didn't really fit in the video, because this is supposed to parody old sitcoms, and he's talking about social media, like he's in a YouTube video and I know he's making fun of Patreon but maybe you could have put him in after some sort of clear ending to the main thing. You also should have maybe added in a laugh track and maybe some clapping. I also thought the thing Dracula did, like the sign thing was nice.

mrjoeyprosser responds:

Man, I really wish I had thought of adding a laugh track. That's a such a good idea. Great suggestions all around. 10/10.

The animation wasn't the best but it didn't really matter and the artstyle was fun. I like the idea and the voice acting is pretty good as well. The face Statue Man™ (you gotta trademark this, it's a goldmine) makes when he dances is so derpy. I feel like you didn't really use the guy with the fast talking voice that well, he should have been talking faster. There was that one part where he did that but it wasn't enough. Overall, I think this has potential to go to some funny places.

LOTAC responds:

Thanks man and thanks for the constructive feedback. You know we played around with doing the voice faster but we thought it might be too hard to understand. Interesting to see how decisions in the room aren't the same of what people want. Next one will be coming in about a month and a half so keep an eye out

The artstyle is great and the animation is good as well. I love this aesthetic. It's so over-the-top and 80's and all the comedy ties very nicely into that aesthetic. I love the parody in this, it's great! The way he was viciously typing on two different computers to literally hack into the Earth. It was so cheesy and felt just like an 80's hacker movie. And he hacked the White House and made it purple XD. The music was absolutely great as well and it fit 100%. The voice acting was also on point. I love Hacky Jack's room, it's so perfectly 80's. Also Brunch Club. This was just a really enjoyable movie, straight down to the classic "Hacky Jaaaaaaaack!" at the end.

Joltzen responds:

Thanks for the review! Also you're the first person I've seen pick up on the Brunch Club poster haha.

The animation is pretty good, and the artstyle is nice. There are some nice bits of animation, but it could have been better. I understand what happened due to the description, and it's okay. It happens to the best. The humor was kinda mixed quality. Like, some things I thought were quite funny, while others just didn't land. For me, the funniest part was the demon queen just utterly breaking down at the end. The sitcom ending was also pretty great. "And I'm dad!" was a nice one as well. The concept of a hero who's an innocent idiot really isn't that original but I feel like some parts of this executed it pretty well. Others were just predictable. The laying part was actually one of the ones that executed it well, at least to me. I also like Izilith's breakdown. The voice acting was good, but the effects sometimes made it kinda hard to understand. I also appreciate that in the beginning you can actually see that the S is slapped on.

ZedrinBot responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree what you said. I've made numerous notes to be more attentive on several related items for future things.

I did not expect this AT ALL. The animation is excellent, the whole thing is both fascinating and funny. The no-talking aspect really added something to the comedy and made it feel more serious at the same time. The anticlimactic ending to her jump over the barrier was great, and I like how the whole thing is just her doing a TV show sort of thing but having it turn out way worse and way crazier than one could expect. It really felt like she was a social media star old lady who's just awkwardly causing mayhem without thinking twice about it, somewhat due to the selfie, which was great. You should have had her do one while she was through the door or something, though that probably would have required changing her actions somewhat, so this is good too. It was a blending of two really cool concepts; the door and Glenda herself. The door presented something really cool and I really like the detailed way Glenda's actions carried over into the cityscape, and how not every time she touched the door her hands were visible because the clouds were there. It's also really cool that she ended up standing sideways because her feet were on the ground in the city. That splits-finisher and her floating legs were great as well. So was the dumb way she tried to reach the city with her arms. EVERYTHING about this was wonderful and I hope you make more-not necessarily more Glenda, but just more stuff in general, because I'm not sure if Glenda can recreate the way I felt watching this, because a big factor was the surprise. Then again, if you can come up with something new and interesting for the Classiest Galaxy Tourist, I will gladly watch that and I will surely enjoy it.

SomeonesEx responds:

Thanks a ton for the detailed review! I hope you enjoy what it's about to come (I'm really committed to this show).

That sure was an extremely weird experience! The animation is great and the style is just the right kind of weird. It's actually really cool that you managed to make things as weird as you did while still managing to have the explosion feel extraordinary and strong. The sound is pretty great. The shifting perspective is positively INSANE!!! That one shot you did at 3:37 is amazing!!! There are some great transitions as well, particularly when it comes to eyes and the shear force of the explosion literally vaporizing people was portrayed really well. I don't really get what that thing that went flying through the town was though. Could you explain that? Also, I think you may have had a bit of a racist depiction of black people, but the times were different, so maybe that is what a lot of black people did in Nova Scotia, and EVERYONE was portrayed not-so-flatteringly so I guess it makes sense. Man, your grandfather seems like he was a great guy.

Cookerzilla responds:

Yo thanks for the flattering words- that's a tooth flying through halifax based on a Newfoundland tall tale about the explosion (a tooth flying into the dingle tower pictured in the movie) as for the racist stuff (in your words) I based that scene off of a picture of two men in North Preston with a Ox Cart (dated 1917). i didn't want to make up bullshit so I just showed everyone minding their own business. Thanks for watching and im glad you enjoyed it

Fitting art and ok animation. The concept could be more fleshed out. Like, I don't get how they're supposed to help anyone, even in an insane way. It was kind of inconsistent. This was just kinda nagging me. I did find this pretty funny otherwise, like with the watermelon and the ending. The voice acting was also pretty good. That one clip with the guy who got burned seemed kinda confusing because I'm not sure him turning into ash was literal or not. Overall, a decent Infomercial spoof.

StaggerNight responds:

hmm hmm. Yes you make good points! Thanks for the feedback!

It was mostly a clip show of things I've seen before. Some I hadn't seen but they did come out separately from this. They were all pretty cool on their own as well so I guess it couldn't hurt to have them in a compilation. As far as I can tell, the things you added were Ssym's MightBear, The Stoics and that last thing with the dancing gorilla. To be honest, that was my favorite. Despite being so stupid, and most likely using music it doesn't own, it was just so good. All three of the original parts were good, with the MightBear one the punchline was great. The Stoics was quite weird and creepy. I liked it even though it wasn't directly a dream, but it did feel like one. The dream store was also pretty funny.

FlowDownStream responds:

Thanks so much for the review. I'm particularly glad you liked the end of the MightBear, I was kind of proud of that to be honest! I also agree that Flonch works some real magic, if you haven't seen it, that skeleton, Peter, is also in the episode Sensation (it's the first clip after the intro) if you want some more in that style (and if you haven't seen that one already).
Anyway, thanks again for coming back, I always appreciate your reviews.
